Compensation and redress

We have obtained over 250 million zł in damages and compensation for our clients, pursuing full recovery from insurers and those responsible for the harm. The valuation of your loss is free, and we handle cases in Gdańsk, Gdynia and throughout Poland.

In which compensation cases do we help?

We handle a wide range of cases for compensation and redress, covering the most common causes of personal and property damage. We represent the injured parties both against insurers and against the direct perpetrators.

  • Motor third-party liability insurance - road accidents and collisions,
  • medical errors - harm caused during treatment,
  • accidents at work,
  • personal injury and property damage in other circumstances.

We pursue not only compensation for material losses, but also compensation for harm, pain and suffering, as well as annuities and reimbursement of treatment costs.

How does compensation for damages differ from compensation for harm?

Compensation makes up for pecuniary damage, while redress makes up for non-pecuniary harm. Compensation covers measurable financial losses, such as the costs of vehicle repair, treatment, rehabilitation, or lost earnings.

Compensation for harm, in turn, is a monetary benefit for the harm suffered - the physical and mental suffering connected with an accident, medical error or the loss of a loved one. In many cases we pursue both of these claims simultaneously in order to provide the injured party with full recompense.

What does pursuing compensation look like step by step?

We begin with a free valuation of the loss, in which we analyse the documentation and establish the real amount of the benefits due. We then submit the claim to the insurer or the responsible party and conduct negotiations in the claims-adjustment proceedings.

If the proposed amount is understated or the claim is rejected, we take the case to court and represent you all the way to obtaining a just judgment. We receive clients from the Tri-City in Gdańsk and Gdynia, and we serve injured persons from across Poland online.

Is the damage assessment really free of charge?

The valuation of your loss is entirely free and without obligation. We analyse your documentation, assess the chances and indicate which benefits you can realistically claim before you decide on further steps.

Thanks to experience through which we have obtained over 250 million zł for our clients, we are able to effectively detect the understated amounts applied by insurers. Book a free damage assessment and check how high the compensation truly owed to you really is.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How much time do I have to pursue compensation?
The time limit depends on the basis of the claim - in the case of damage arising from torts, claims become time-barred as a rule after 3 years from the day on which the injured party learned of the damage and of the person liable. For damage arising from a crime, this period is considerably longer. In order not to lose your claim, it is worth consulting the matter as soon as possible.
Can I claim compensation if I partly contributed to the accident?
Yes, contributing to the damage does not deprive you of the right to compensation, but may only reduce its amount accordingly. The court or the insurer assesses the degree of contribution in the circumstances of the specific case. It is worthwhile for your interests to be represented by an attorney who will ensure a fair assessment of that degree.
The insurer has underestimated the compensation - what can I do?
You can challenge an understated compensation by filing an appeal and then referring the case to court. Understating benefits is a common practice among insurers, which is why it is worth having the valuation verified by a lawyer. In the free analysis we will check whether the awarded amount corresponds to the actual extent of the loss and harm.
Will I receive compensation for a medical error?
Yes, if as a result of a medical error you have suffered damage or harm, you may pursue compensation and redress for non-pecuniary harm. It is necessary to demonstrate the error, the damage and the causal link between them, which usually requires an expert opinion. We will help to gather the medical documentation and conduct the case at every stage.
Is the damage assessment truly free of charge?
Yes, the assessment of the damage is entirely free of charge and without obligation. We analyse the documentation and indicate the real value of the benefits due before you decide on cooperation. Only after a joint assessment of the situation do we determine the next steps.
